Most failed projects were mis-defined, not mis-built. We settle the goal first.
About
doit.net is a small senior team. We design and build, we host what we build, and we support it afterward. That combination is rarer than it should be.
How we work
You talk to the people doing the work. There is no account manager relaying messages and no junior team learning on your budget.
When a project needs custom code rather than a plugin, we write it. That is how our booking engine exists.
Hosting, DNS, email, and backups are ours. No reseller in the middle when something needs fixing at 11pm.
Twenty-three years of network and infrastructure work at Verizon, Nokia, and Lucent sits behind the technical calls.
If your project is smaller than you think, or a better fit somewhere else, you hear that on the first call.
The name
Most failed projects were mis-defined, not mis-built. We settle the goal first.
One team across design, build, and hosting. Nobody to point at but us.
Build it, stage it, fix what you flag, launch it properly.
Keep working it until it is boring and runs without us.
The founder
Dennis registered doit.net in 1995 and has run it since. Alongside it he spent 23 years at Verizon, Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent, and Lucent in network strategy, product development, and infrastructure programs, including six years leading network partnerships and dark fiber work, and executive operations for a 36,000-person global technology organization.
That background is why doit.net takes on the projects other shops decline. Regulated ecommerce, custom booking logic, deliverability problems, and AI systems that have to survive contact with real customers are all the same discipline as carrier infrastructure, at a friendlier scale.
He is also open to the right full-time role in network strategy, infrastructure planning, or technology leadership. If that is why you are here, get in touch and he will send a resume the same day.
Say hello
Tell us what you are trying to build or fix. We answer our own mail, usually the same day.
